Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 19, 2026
Camblend (“Camblend,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is designed with privacy in mind.
Camblend is a camera and video creation application that allows you to capture, import, edit, and export visual content using features such as dual-camera recording, Picture-in-Picture, Split Screen, screen recording, teleprompter tools, and video editing.
Camblend is designed with a local-first approach. Your recordings, imported media, screen recordings, editing projects, and teleprompter scripts are processed locally on your device. Camblend does not upload this content to our servers for storage or media processing.
This Privacy Policy explains how Camblend accesses information on your device, why certain permissions are required, and how information is handled when you use the Camblend mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Our Local-First Approach
Camblend is designed so that your creative content remains on your device.
When you use Camblend to record, import, edit, or export content, that content is processed locally on your device.
This includes:
- front-camera recordings;
- rear-camera recordings;
- simultaneous dual-camera recordings;
- Picture-in-Picture recordings;
- Split Screen recordings;
- screen recordings;
- microphone audio included in recordings;
- imported photos and videos;
- editing projects;
- teleprompter scripts;
- edited media; and
- exported videos.
Camblend does not operate a cloud media library for this content and does not upload your creative content to Camblend servers for storage or media processing.
Your device performs Camblend's recording and editing operations locally.
2. Camera Access
Camblend may request permission to access your device's camera.
Camera access is required for features such as:
- recording video;
- front-camera recording;
- rear-camera recording;
- simultaneous front and rear camera capture;
- Picture-in-Picture recording;
- Split Screen recording;
- switching between supported camera lenses;
- digital zoom;
- camera previews; and
- other camera-related functionality.
Camera footage is processed locally on your device.
Camblend does not upload your camera footage or live camera feeds to our servers.
Camblend does not intentionally access your camera when you are not using a feature that requires camera access.
You can deny or revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings. Features requiring camera access may not function if permission is disabled.
3. Microphone Access
Camblend may request permission to access your device's microphone when you use recording features that include audio.
Microphone access may be used to:
- record your voice;
- record environmental audio;
- include audio with camera recordings; and
- include microphone audio with supported screen recordings.
Microphone audio is processed locally on your device as part of your recording.
Camblend does not upload your microphone recordings to our servers for storage or media processing.
You may disable microphone access through your device settings. Recordings may contain no microphone audio if permission is disabled.
4. Photos and Videos
Camblend allows you to import existing media from your device for use within the application.
Where supported by your operating system, Camblend may use the system photo or video picker so that you can choose the specific media you want to use.
Selected media may be accessed for purposes such as:
- importing content into a project;
- editing existing videos;
- combining imported content with recordings;
- changing layouts or compositions; and
- exporting completed content.
Imported media is processed locally on your device.
Camblend does not upload your selected photos or videos to our servers for media processing or storage.
Camblend may also request permission to save completed or exported content to your device's photo or video library.
5. Screen Recording
Camblend may provide functionality that allows you to record your device's screen.
When you intentionally start a screen recording, the resulting recording may capture information displayed on your screen, including:
- applications;
- websites;
- notifications;
- messages;
- photos;
- videos;
- documents;
- interface elements;
- text; and
- other information visible while recording.
Screen recordings are processed locally on your device.
Camblend does not upload your screen recordings to our servers for media processing or storage.
You control when screen recording starts and stops.
Because screen recordings may capture sensitive or private information displayed by other applications, you should check what is visible on your screen before and during a recording.
Avoid displaying passwords, authentication codes, financial information, private messages, confidential documents, or other sensitive information unless you intend for that information to appear in the recording.
6. Dual-Camera Recording
On supported devices, Camblend can use multiple cameras to capture more than one perspective simultaneously.
For example, Camblend may capture supported combinations of your device's:
- front camera;
- rear camera; and
- available camera lenses.
These camera streams are processed locally on your device to create the recording or composition you choose.
Camblend does not transmit your live camera feeds to our servers.
7. Picture-in-Picture and Split Screen
Camblend may allow you to combine multiple perspectives using layouts such as:
- Picture-in-Picture; and
- Split Screen.
Depending on the feature, you may be able to:
- reposition a secondary camera window;
- resize it;
- change its shape;
- swap camera perspectives; and
- otherwise modify the composition.
These operations are performed locally on your device.
Your footage does not need to be uploaded to Camblend servers to perform these operations.
8. Teleprompter
Camblend may provide a teleprompter that allows you to enter or paste scripts, notes, talking points, or other text for use while recording.
Teleprompter content is stored and processed locally on your device.
Camblend does not upload your teleprompter scripts to our servers.
Because scripts may contain personal, private, confidential, or commercially sensitive information, we recommend protecting access to your device appropriately.
9. Editing
Camblend's media-editing functionality operates locally on your device.
Depending on the features available in your version of Camblend, editing functionality may include:
- trimming;
- cutting;
- changing layouts;
- repositioning camera windows;
- resizing camera windows;
- changing window shapes;
- editing imported media; and
- preparing content for export.
Your media is not uploaded to Camblend servers to perform these editing operations.
10. Your Content
Your creative content remains yours.
Camblend does not claim ownership of the photos, videos, recordings, screen recordings, scripts, or other content that you create, import, edit, or export using Camblend.
This includes:
- camera recordings;
- microphone audio;
- screen recordings;
- imported photos and videos;
- editing projects;
- teleprompter scripts; and
- exported content.
Camblend does not maintain server-side copies of this creative content.
You are responsible for the content you create, import, record, edit, export, or share using Camblend and for ensuring that your use of such content complies with applicable laws and the rights of others.
11. Exporting and Sharing
When you export a completed video or other supported content, Camblend may save the resulting file to your device or make it available through your operating system's sharing functionality.
You may choose to share exported content with:
- social media platforms;
- messaging applications;
- cloud-storage providers;
- email services;
- other applications; or
- other third-party services.
Camblend does not control how an independent third-party service handles content after you choose to provide it to that service.
Once you share content with another service, that service's terms and privacy practices may apply.
You should review the privacy practices of third-party services before sharing sensitive content with them.
12. Device Permissions
Depending on your device, operating system, and the features you choose to use, Camblend may request permissions for:
Camera
Used for camera preview, video recording, and supported multi-camera functionality.
Microphone
Used when you choose to capture microphone audio.
Photos and Videos
Used when you select media to import or choose to save exported content.
Screen Recording
Used when you intentionally start Camblend's screen-recording functionality.
Notifications
Camblend may request notification permission if functionality requiring notifications is provided.
You can review, grant, deny, or revoke applicable permissions through your device settings.
Disabling a permission may prevent the associated Camblend feature from functioning correctly.
13. Information We Do Not Collect From Your Creative Content
As part of Camblend's local-first creative workflow, we do not collect or upload the contents of your:
- camera footage;
- microphone recordings;
- imported photos;
- imported videos;
- screen recordings;
- editing projects; or
- teleprompter scripts
to Camblend servers for storage or media processing.
Access to these resources on your device is used to provide the functionality you request.
14. Purchases and Subscriptions
Camblend may offer premium features through subscriptions, in-app purchases, or other purchases.
Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by the applicable platform.
Camblend does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card information when purchases are processed by Apple or Google.
We may receive information necessary to determine whether you are entitled to premium functionality, such as purchase or subscription status.
Apple and Google may independently process account, transaction, device, and payment information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
15. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
Camblend does not sell your personal information.
We do not sell your:
- photos;
- videos;
- camera recordings;
- microphone recordings;
- screen recordings;
- editing projects; or
- teleprompter scripts.
We do not operate a business model based on selling your private creative content.
16. Third-Party Services
Camblend may interact with third-party services necessary to distribute and operate the application, including services provided by your device platform or app store.
For example, Apple or Google may independently process information relating to application downloads, purchases, subscriptions, devices, and store accounts.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
The fact that Camblend may use or interact with a third-party service does not mean that your locally stored recordings or creative projects are automatically provided to that service.
17. Data Retention and Deletion
Camblend's creative workflow is local-first.
Your recordings, projects, scripts, imported media, and other creative content generally remain on your device rather than being stored on Camblend servers.
You control the deletion of locally stored creative content.
Content you export to your device's photo library, file storage, another application, or another service may remain there after you remove the corresponding project or content from Camblend.
Deleting Camblend from your device may remove application-specific information stored locally, subject to your device's operating system, backup settings, and storage behavior.
Content previously exported outside Camblend will not necessarily be deleted when Camblend is uninstalled.
18. Device and Cloud Backups
Your device manufacturer, operating-system provider, or another service you use may provide device or cloud-backup functionality.
Depending on your device and backup settings, locally stored application data may be included in a device or cloud backup.
These backups are controlled by the applicable operating-system provider, cloud provider, and your own settings rather than by Camblend.
If you do not want certain information included in device backups, review the backup and synchronization settings available on your device.
19. Data Security
Camblend's local-first approach reduces the need to transmit your creative media to Camblend servers.
However, no device, application, storage system, or method of electronic processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We encourage you to protect your device using appropriate security measures, including:
- a strong device passcode;
- biometric authentication where available;
- current operating-system and security updates; and
- appropriate privacy and device-access settings.
If another person has access to your unlocked device, they may potentially be able to access content stored locally within Camblend or elsewhere on your device.
20. Recording Other People
Camblend provides tools that may allow you to record video, audio, your screen, and other content.
You are responsible for using those tools lawfully and respecting the privacy and other rights of others.
Recording and privacy laws vary between countries, states, provinces, and other jurisdictions.
Depending on where you are located and what you are recording, you may be required to obtain permission or consent before recording:
- another person;
- a private conversation;
- audio;
- a meeting;
- private property; or
- other protected activities or information.
You are responsible for obtaining any permission or consent required by applicable law.
21. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Content
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use any content that you import, record, edit, export, publish, or distribute using Camblend.
Using Camblend does not grant you ownership or other rights in third-party:
- music;
- photographs;
- videos;
- trademarks;
- copyrighted works; or
- other protected content.
You should only use third-party content when you have the legal right or permission to do so.
22. Children's Privacy
Camblend does not knowingly collect or store children's private recordings, photos, videos, screen recordings, editing projects, or teleprompter scripts on Camblend servers because Camblend's creative-media processing is performed locally on the user's device.
If information is provided directly to us through a support request or other direct communication, we will handle that information in accordance with applicable law.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child has provided personal information directly to us in circumstances that violate applicable law, please contact us at hello@camblend.app.
23. Your Privacy Choices
You maintain control over many aspects of Camblend through your device.
Depending on your device and the functionality you use, you can:
- grant or deny camera access;
- grant or deny microphone access;
- control access to photos and videos;
- start and stop screen recording;
- delete local projects;
- delete recordings;
- remove imported media from projects;
- delete teleprompter scripts;
- manage exported files;
- change application permissions; and
- uninstall Camblend.
Permissions can generally be reviewed or changed through your device's privacy settings.
24. International Users
Camblend may be available to users in multiple countries and regions.
Because Camblend's creative-media processing is local, your recordings are not transferred to another country by Camblend simply to perform normal recording, editing, or exporting operations.
Apple, Google, or other independent services you choose to interact with may process information in other jurisdictions according to their respective privacy practices and applicable law.
25. Apple App Store and Google Play
If you download Camblend through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the applicable platform may independently process information relating to:
- your store account;
- application downloads;
- purchases;
- subscriptions;
- device information; and
- interactions with its services.
Apple's or Google's handling of that information is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Their processing is separate from Camblend's local processing of your creative media.
26. Third-Party Links
The Camblend website or Services may contain links to third-party websites or services.
Camblend does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties.
If you follow a third-party link or choose to use an external service, information you provide to that service will be governed by the third party's privacy practices.
We encourage you to review the applicable privacy policy before providing personal information to an external service.
27. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes may be made to reflect:
- new Camblend features;
- changes to existing functionality;
- changes to our privacy practices;
- changes to platform requirements;
- legal or regulatory requirements; or
- security and operational developments.
When we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
Where required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice regarding material changes.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Camblend is designed with a local-first approach. Your camera footage, microphone audio, screen recordings, imported media, editing projects, and teleprompter scripts are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to Camblend servers for media processing or storage.
